Video on Nintendo DS and Gameboys

Mobiclip Inc. and Nintendo partnered to deliver full-screen video at 24fps on the Nintendo portable gaining systems, including the Game Boy Advance and the DS, with no hardware modification at all. This has opened up new opportunities for Nintendo and their partners to sell video contents for the millions of devices that are already in the market. To date, Pokemon episodes and full-length movies such as Shrek and Shark Tale have been released in the US and in Japan.

Nintendo has also licensed Mobiclip video codecs to integrate video sequences in video games for the Game Boy® Advance and the Nintendo DS™ handheld video game systems. Mobiclip is provided at no charge in Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS Software Development Kits (SDK). It allows all Nintendo's game developers to enrich their games with attractive video content. Today, many games that play on Nintendo's platforms contain video sequences played in Mobiclip format.
